1. Boutique Service Agreement By visiting our site or purchasing from our collection, you agree to be bound by these terms. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at any time. Governing Law: These Terms of Service and any separate agreements shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Victoria, Australia.
2. General Care Information & Guidance Material on this site is for general information purposes only—specifically regarding the basic care of aquatic snails and the use of supplements. While we provide guidance based on our studio standards (such as pH 7.5+ recommendations), any reliance on the material provided is strictly at your own risk.
Monitor Display & Color Accuracy: We strive to display images accurately, but we cannot guarantee your device's display of any color will be accurate. Actual specimen color is influenced by your lighting, water parameters, and snail age.
3. Livestock & Supplement Terms Stock Quality: We guarantee the health and phenotypic color of our snails only at the time of dispatch.
Acclimatisation: We strongly recommend a drip-acclimatisation period of 60–90 minutes.
Dead on Arrival (DOA): All livestock is covered by our Arrive Alive Guarantee, provided the customer adheres to the strict 1-hour reporting window and unboxing video requirements outlined in our dedicated DOA Policy.
Mandatory Quarantine: We recommend a strict 14-day quarantine in a separate, fish-free vessel.
Shell & Fin Aquatics is not liable for any cross-contamination or biological issues occurring in the Buyer's primary aquarium.
Biosecurity: The buyer assumes all biological risk when introducing new livestock. Shell & Fin Aquatics is not liable for any perceived or actual introduction of pathogens or parasites into pre-existing tanks.
4. Returns & Refunds Livestock: Due to biosecurity and health risks, we do not accept returns of live animals.
No Reshipping: In the event of a verified DOA, we offer a refund for the specimen or a replacement (where the buyer pays for new shipping). We do not provide free reshipping.
Change of Mind: We do not offer refunds or exchanges for change-of-mind purchases on livestock once dispatched.
5. Limitation of Liability & Property Indemnity "As Is" Basis: All products and livestock are provided 'as is' for your use, without any warranties of any kind beyond the DOA period.
Total Tank Indemnity: Shell & Fin Aquatics is not liable for any injury, loss, or claim, including the loss of other livestock, equipment failure, or water damage to the home. Liability Limit: Our total liability is strictly limited to the purchase price of the specific item sold.
6. Errors, Inaccuracies, and Omissions We reserve the right to correct any typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions relating to descriptions, pricing, and availability, and to cancel orders if information is inaccurate at any time without prior notice.
